If you think that this beautiful plant comes from Asian countries, you are wrong. Although its appearance reminds a lot of oriental environments and creates a zen atmosphere in any location. This plant is actually African.
It was brought from central Africa by an English gardener named Henry Frederick Conrad.
It belongs to the same family as the asparagus and has the scientific name Dracaena sanderiana, it is closer to the asparagus family than to the bamboos. Isn’t that amazing? Even so, its appearance and shape lead us to use the vulgar name of ‘lucky bamboo’.
But what is the reason for this name? It actually comes from the oriental tradition of presenting visitors on special occasions with bamboo shoots and arrangements. As it spread throughout the world, the lucky bamboo started to be used by practitioners of Fen Shui.
number of stems
The number of stems indicates specific benefits. See below the list of wishes that can be fulfilled by bamboo:

Feng Shui is an energetic practice originating in ancient china that aims to harmonize the environment through the correct arrangement of objects, rooms and flow in the environments. For Feng Shui practitioners the lucky bamboo represents peace, material fulfillment, enthusiasm and creativity.
